About the Competition
DNLU-SLJ is honoured to have a collaboration with Seven Seas Partner LLP to organize a Blog Writing Competition. The vision and foresight of the esteemed organization inspire us to strive for excellence. We trust that the unparalleled expertise of Seven Seas Partner LLP will act as our guiding light in recognising and honouring the best talents of the country who shall be the pillars of the future of Space Law. It would be open to all the students enrolled in various universities and colleges across the country. MNLU’s CRASL is one of the leading centres in the Space Law sector and has contributed significantly to this multifaceted sector. Therefore, we are elated to have them as our Knowledge and Support Partner.
Theme & Sub-Themes
For the first edition of the Competition, the theme is;
‘Space Law and its Development in Indian Scenario’
The following are the proposed Sub-themes:
- Analyzing the Role of Recently Released IN-SPACe Guidelines
- The growing intersection of Insolvency Laws and Space Laws in the Indian Market
- Artemis Accords and India
- Space Debris Management by Indian Companies
- Privacy Concerns in the Indian Space Sector
- Liability and Insurance Claims in the Indian Space Sector
The above-mentioned sub-themes are only suggestive in nature.
We encourage holistic research and welcome submissions on any relevant topic related to Space Law and its development in the Indian Paradigm. All submissions will go through a rigorous review process and editing by the Editorial Board.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions are accepted electronically in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format. Submissions must be uploaded to the submission form attached below.
- Original submissions are invited from undergraduate and graduate students, research scholars, academicians and practitioners. Submissions may be co-authored by a maximum of two authors.
- Our policies on academic writing reflect our commitment to academic integrity and fairness. The use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process is prohibited due to concerns about the authenticity and originality of submitted work.
- The Journal follows a zero-tolerance towards plagiarism. Adherence must be given to the University Grant Commission (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2018. In case of non-compliance with the UGC’s policy, the articles will be rejected.
- The word limit for the submission is 1000-2500 words, exclusive of the end notes. The Manuscripts shall not exceed more than 10% of similarity content.
- The main body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, Font Size of 12, with 1.5 line spacing and Justified alignment.
- Submissions made for the Competition are encouraged to have hyperlinks. However, in the absence of hyperlinks, the author(s) must use endnotes.
- All Endnotes must conform to the 4th Edition of OSCOLA rules of citation and must be in Times New Roman font, with Font Size 10 and line spacing of 1.0.

- The body of the manuscript should not contain any personal details of the author for the purpose of anonymity.
- The manuscript must be original and unpublished work and must not be under simultaneous consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Copyright of all submissions selected for publication shall vest with DNLU.
Eligibility
- Student/ research scholars enrolled in any UG/PG/PhD course from any Indian University are eligible to participate in the competition.
- Co-authorship (maximum two) of entries is allowed.
- Multiple entries from the same authors are not allowed.

Closure of Submissions, Registrations and Fee Payment: 27th August 2024 [Extended]
Declaration of Results: 15th September 2024

- Winner: INR 5,000/-
- First Runner-up: INR 3,000/-
- Second Runner-up: INR 2,000/-
Internship Opportunity
The author(s) of the top three essays i.e., (i) Winner, (ii) First Runner-up and (iii) Second Runner-up, shall be awarded an opportunity to intern with Seven Seas Partners LLP, subject to the policy of the firm.
Publication
Selected Blogs will be published in the DNLU Student Law Journal (Online Blog Platform).
Certificate of Participation
All participants shall be presented with a ‘Certificate of Participation’.
