Privacy Policy of DNLU-SLJ

Introduction

This privacy statement provides information about the collection of personal information by the Student Law Journal of Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU-SLJ) and the ways in which it uses that personal information.   1. DNLU-SLJ only collects and uses personal information that is necessary for the processing and publication of manuscripts submitted to us. In addition to that, we only collect information relevant to professional research activities, publications, academic activities and specialization(s), editorships and awards. This enables us to provide researchers with high-quality publishing services, such as identifying the most suited expert reviewers for articles or building editorial boards.

  • administer the website
  • enable your access to and use of the website services
  • process your manuscript
  • publish your manuscript
  • send to you, communication about your manuscript

  • send you other such communications Where DNLU-SLJ discloses your personal information to its agents or contractors for these purposes, the agent or contractor in question will be obligated to use that personal information in accordance with the terms of this privacy statement. In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere above, DNLU-SLJ may disclose your personal information to the extent that it is required to do so by law, in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings, and in order to establish, exercise or defend its legal rights.
  1. Securing your data DNLU-SLJ will take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. It may keep your personal data to enable your continued use of our platform and publishing services, and for as long as it is required in order to fulfil the relevant purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to comply with the obligations as a scholarly publisher or as may be required by law.

Cross-border data transfers Information that the Journal collects may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which Journal operates (including the purpose of reviewing the submissions) to enable the use of the information in accordance with this privacy policy. In addition, personal information that you submit for publication on the website will be published on the internet and may be available around the world. Any submission to the Journal for the purpose of website or offline edition will be considered as an acceptance of this privacy policy by the Author(s).
  2. Other websites DNLU-SLJ is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of any third party. Other websites may contain links to the publication of DNLU-SLJ and the Journal will not be responsible for the usage of the same by third parties.

Rights of the Users

In response to the privacy policy of DNLU-SLJ, the author(s), visitors to the website have a right to: a.Ā  Request that your Personal Data be deleted. In certain circumstances, we may have an overriding need to retain all or some information to continue to provide our services as a responsible publisher. b. Require that your information be corrected. c. Withdraw the consent for the processing of your personal data. d. Be informed of the Personal Data we collect, process and store. This Privacy Policy, which is accessible to you via DNLU-SLJ, provides you with all of this information in an accessible way. e. Request access to your Personal Data stored by us or a third party, where this is technically feasible. Our intention is to respond to any request for information within a reasonable time.
